Special Note to Fellow Bloggers
Please be aware that there are now wonderful tools, like Akismet (http://akismet.com/), for blocking spam comments that drive bloggers nuts. Actually, the number of blocked spam comments to this blog far outnumber the number of legit comments. I occasionally check to see if perhaps a legit comment may have been mistakenly blocked - I've never found one yet! I say this only because, as a heavy blog reader and commenter myself, some of the spam blocking devices (such as Captcha and other word verifiers) used by bloggers are both irritating and noneffective as well. And I always wonder if blog authors who use those devices realize that they often drive potential readers and commenters away. Think about it folks, if you use a word verifier, you are undoubtedly losing many readers and commenters.-

And Just How Friendly Do You Get With Your Pizza?
I’m going to blame our new refrigerator for my almost total escape from my usual and customary baking routine – when we moved the contents of our old freezer into the new, we realized that we had a lot of … Continue reading
The Well Traveled Pancake, in Yet Another Guise
Last week, I read Joanna’s well written post, http://zebbakes.com/2011/06/23/soup-and-pancakes/ on what she delightfully calls, Swedish Evening Pancakes. I love the concept of dishes which can’t be tied down to a particular meal or time of day, such as for example, … Continue reading
Thinking Cheesy Thoughts
Our daughter Melissa’s beloved hails from the Carolinas in the deep South (many non-U.S. southerners do not understand why the Carolinas can be ‘The Deep South’ when Florida is not! Culture and history, my friends.), and has been our guest … Continue reading
