Special Note to Fellow Bloggers
Please be aware that there are now wonderful tools, like Akismet (http://akismet.com/), for blocking spam comments that drive bloggers nuts. Actually, the number of blocked spam comments to this blog far outnumber the number of legit comments. I occasionally check to see if perhaps a legit comment may have been mistakenly blocked - I've never found one yet! I say this only because, as a heavy blog reader and commenter myself, some of the spam blocking devices (such as Captcha and other word verifiers) used by bloggers are both irritating and noneffective as well. And I always wonder if blog authors who use those devices realize that they often drive potential readers and commenters away. Think about it folks, if you use a word verifier, you are undoubtedly losing many readers and commenters.-

A Tuna That Makes the Summer More Delicious
One sure sign of summer hereabouts is the return of the tuna – actually, they don’t so much return as they simply follow the warming of the Pacific waters. Most of the world thinks of the red fleshed Ahi tuna … Continue reading
Thanksgiving – It’s All About the Gravy!
I love cooking on Thanksgiving – and it’s often a 2 day affair. We of course have our traditional dishes, but I think the greater tradition in our house is to simply have an outrageous number of dishes. And it’s … Continue reading

Was Your Mother’s Cooking Really That Good?
Many of us have fond memories of the wonderful foods and tastes we grew up with – and I’d guess almost unanimously, we say now we didn’t realize how good that food was back when we took it for granted … Continue reading
